Being keen to dispel any thoughts that I might be some sort of Durham supporting glory hunter, here's the view at whatever they're calling the Racecourse Ground nowadays.

Given I was let in for the post-tea rate (i.e. nothing) well before tea and then the man on the gate walked me in and talked me around the place, this has jumped straight up to be one of my favourite county grounds around the country.

That's Dal bowling to Pujara in the second photo, by the way.

Pujara is an impressive player since he came through at Sussex. The only problem will be if he gets an England call up.

Are you going tomorrow ?
No, just got the train down for the afternoon. I'll try and get down to Headingly to see Root and Brook batting for Yorkshire tomorrow.
I should have added to my last post, I had a brief chat with Farbrace as I walked past the dressing rooms, and he seemed entirely lovely and charming (on a day when we played well :lolol:).
Edit: I should probably add that going down to Derby is a good couple of hours further away for me on the train than Leeds is, as well as being that bit more expensive.

Another very good day for Sussex. Would be brilliant to get this one over the line and be pushing hard. #GOSBTS

Derbyshire 19/0 at lunch.

Sussex made 479 with Pujara getting 113 but good contributions from the tail to build the lead.
