Shame, if we’d got the tenth wicket for not much more, could we have asked them to follow-on anyway? Not sure what the required score is these days…

Perfectly timed for the follow on. The usual reason (or one of them) these days for not enforcing the follow on os bowler fatigue - knock over the last peg sharpish this morning, and the bowlers are still fresh to tear into them, whillst they have to bat the day out to salvage a draw. Fantastic chance for our second win (weather permitting).

Annoying last wicket stand. Often the way.

Even so, some strange bowling choices. Persevering with crap Hunt today and Coles bowling last over yesterday.

Going to be a drawer... playing Cricket in April was a good idea wasn't it?
It’s so they can make time for that stupid 100 ball competition, that nobody really is interested in apart from the ECB , who won’t admit it is an unnecessary competition,

Even with £millions spent promoting the 100, claiming sell out crowds (by giving free tickets), playing matches in the middle of summer and having prime time TV, the ECB and Strauss are finally admitting that they’ve wasted everyone’s time and it’s flopped. Hooray 👏👏

Are they ? That's good news. 100 is an expensive load of self-congratulatory, navel-gazing rubbish.

Why start April 9th then leave a two week gap to the next championship match ? The Sussex v Durham game could have been played a week later for starters. Poor old Pujara must have so many jumpers on he must look like the Michelin Man ?

They've got to be allowed to play Robinson in a couple of the games Smith is involved in, haven't they? Edit: he's playing the next three Sussex fixtures.

Garton is also playing for the second XI today so could be a bowling option. Could be a very strong team, minus McAndrew.
