Not seen it elsewhere but thought it worth mentioning to the cricket community that one of our own is representing England at the Commonwealth Games after making her debut for England age 17 just a week or so earlier. Future England captain - Freya Kemp 👏👏

Couldn’t see more details on this, but isn’t it just reducing matches and not teams?

The plan is to have 12 first class counties and six feeder teams. It's true that there has be no announcement as to who the feeder teams would be but I think we can safely say that Sussex would be one of them

Unfortunately our dire form for three seasons has come at the worst time if there are a limited number of proper county teams.

So Sussex would just be a one day side and a minor county in the 4 day game?

Nothing has been officially announced yet, this is just from leaks of the Strauss plan. The petition is to get some momentum to fight the changes before anything does happen.

And yes, Sussex are in a poor position at the moment but don't forget the state they were in in the late 90s and within half a dozen years they were the best team in the country. Things can change rapidly.

50 Over game against Gloucestershire today.

246/5 from 41.1 Pujara gone for 63. Rawlins just hit a six to get his half century. Couple of costly drops by the visitors. Usual Sussex stream on YouTube with camera work like your dad making a home video after a few pints.

Reading about the Lions game that Robinson is involved in

"I would like to thank the Hundred teams and respective head coaches who have enabled the eight players who are playing in the competition the opportunity to play for the Lions," Mo Bobat, the ECB's performance director, said. "We are grateful for their support.

I don't remember the counties ever being thanked for letting players must their matches for a lion's match
