You seem to have ignored the contents of my post

No No, sorry, it's great kids from around the county spent the day there. That happened at every out ground as well.

The whole point I'm making is there's a disconnect currently, something that's been an issue for years with Sussex, with the whole of the county. I could write a thesis on it. It's frustrating and goes back years.

So, while NSC was down, Sussex have somehow scored 588/9 (end of innings now with Haines unable to return).

Much as he used to be a real pain when playing against us, I'm quite enjoying Ricky Clarke as part of the commentary team on the stream today.

But the advertising is taken to the out grounds as is the catering. Local business sponsor the events, money straight into the coffers. It doesn't add up that it costs thousands. Today's game had a total of no one in hospitality and hardly a soul in the ground. Sorry but that doesn't figure. Sussex have always moaned about it, going back as far as I can remember but it's due to being Hove centric they need to change.

No Sussex have appealed for sponsors to fund Horsham in the past for example and none came forward. The club have listed all the costs involved before and they say it is not just possible to move to an outground without serious costs. I am only repeating what they are saying, as I said I think the ECB should cough up the costs. But it is a shame no sponsor from the outground areas like Horsham for example, come forward and offer to cover the costs for the publicity alone.

Perhaps times have changed but certainly back when I was involved there were sponsors. Mind you that was 30 years ago, old git that I am

Rawlins you absolute muppet

Probably the worst bit of fielding I’ve ever seen, an insult to village cricket.

Ackermann and Mulder at the same end, all Delray needed to do was underarm it back to the bowler, waiting behind the stumps to affect the run out, instead he threw it wildly over the bowlers head. Honestly the worst piece of fielding you’re likely to see from a professional cricketer. Do these guys actually practice or just turn up?

….100+ runs later I see they’re both still in

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
There is an awful lot of pies being chucked today.

Leics 483 for 4 and ongoing.

What’s weird is I predicted Mulder would do great things with the bat. Well, the truth is out there.

Spooky.

That’s a two for one, fellas.

Spooky?? Not really. 4 out of 6 of their batters have scored 99 or more. Most batters do against our bowlers.

Here
Sussex seem to have gone from being a competitive Division 1 side, to a team of great bowlers and shit batters, to a team of no hopers in every format of the game with shit bowlers and ok batters, - all in the space of about 5 years. WTF is going on down there???

Could yet start our second innings in deficit by 150-200 and lose by an innings.

At current run rate, Leicestershire would reach a lead of 150 some time around mid-afternoon tomorrow. It would take some going for Sussex to lose nine wickets in about three hours on a pitch where 13 wickets have fallen in three days. I've seen some Sussex collapses in my time but that would be going some.

If these two put on 83 runs more, it's a Leicestershire record for the 5th wicket
