Cheshire Cat
The most curious thing..
What is Rawlins actually for - can't bowl, can't bat, can't run between wickets...... specialist idiot.
Going to be an innings and several.
Normal service has been resumed
Can we cancel Alsop's loan?
In defensive of the Sussex hierarchy, they have tried and attempted to put things right. Nothing has paid off though as just 1 draw and 2 defeats from 3!
People having a pop at Salisbury but I'm not sure what he can do: Archer and Robbo are in the hands of England. Finn, FHP, Ibrahim, Garton and Carson are ill or injured. Coles is at school this week.
I see that Brown and Salt have both made runs this week ... if only they were playing for us but we're a poor county and we're going to lose a lot of our best players. Salisbury can't magic thousands of pounds to increase their salaries.
I think the club is on the right track: Grant Flower has a good reputation as a coach. Grizz is back in the Sussex set-up, We have a lot of kids playing at the moment - not all will make it but Orr, Clark, Ibrahim and Carson all look excellent to me. I'm afraid that I don't see what the coaches see in Rawlins but that's just one player.
The club, I'm sure, had low expectations for this season but they've been hit badly by injuries, which they couldn't have predicted.
What's interesting is that Sussex are mirroring what the Albion are doing. They can't afford big name players so are investing heavily in youth to develop for the future. The time to look at whether that works or not is in a couple of years.
It’s pretty embarrassing at the moment, we’re miles away from being competitive. What a mess.
I am sorry that is wrong. Sussex did not lose Salt. Wells Burgess Briggs and Brown because they wanted more money. Finn hardly played any 4 day games last season so dont know why club think he is now fit enough, Garton has been injury prone for years. Club have known for months that Robinson and Archer are contracted to TCB
Hard to understand. Have replaced experienced players with untried youngsters and at same time have retained large well paid non playing staff. Dont worry overseas players will be available for 20/20 and will be fewer injuries

I follow, hardly ever go, but frankly, the people running SCCC need a big dose of what Archer got. But fan protest doesn't happen in cricket, does it?
