Wonderful poem and lovely images of East Sussex.

Which, as we all know, is the BESTEST Sussex. (I currently hold the right to this opinion by approximately 400 yards).

It actually made me nostalgic for the Beachy Head Marathon

Is that the whole poem or is there more to it? Sussex is bigger than the Rottingdean to Cuckmere coast line.

Vastly over rated, many better more attractive places, Herefordshire, the Cotswolds. Sussex is over crowded, beaches of stone (give me the Gower any day) and if it wasn;t for the Albion I doubt I'd ever find a reason to visit.

Leave it out, mate! West is best

Yes – Beachy. And, even more so, Moyleman...

I was in a not dissimilar position to you, (albeit l didn't live here then), in that the Cowfold Stream, just a mile or so outside the village, was the East/West Sujssex boundary line until the 1960's. East Sussex was alarmingly close!

A strangely partial depiction. Nice photography for sure, but rather too much urban sprawl on view. Kipling lived in Rottingdean first, but settled later in Burwash. He may have preferred a rather more balanced portrayal of the natural beauty of his adopted county. Flora and fauna and the like...
