Getting out of your wetsuit with an audience at the Cold Pipe can be interesting. If you've not surfed before, start at New Beach or the Hot Pipe. Good luck.

Quite a few of my mates surf and kitesurf. Indeed, the Kellner brothers started surfing and now virtually only kitesurf.

Yes ,Brian told me only the kitesurfing excites him now,and I believe if it had been about when I first took up surfing I would have gone down that route.

You get in this weekend? Marina was pretty mad yesterday. Hot Pipe a bit more manageable just now. At least surfing has distracted me from another inept Fulham performance.

You're very lucky. I went there a decade ago and surfed Tamarindo, Jaco and other places I forget. Fantastic place. You surfed in Nicaragua?

I scored New Beach a while ago at 3' offshore, 5 in the water and sunny. Such a difference to the normal slop there.
