I'd love to see the Saints pull it off this year although i'm glad to just see the 2 best teams in the NFL this season make it all the way! I think if the Saints can be +2 on turnovers they'll do it, they're easily good enough to put up 30 points but they'll need the plus 2 turnovers to stop Manning getting Indy to 30!

Coming to you live & direct from sunny Miami.
If they show an aerial shot from the blimp that is over south beach, look out for a cruise ship sailing out from the port around 5 p.m. That will be us here on the mighty Norwegian Dawn.
I'd like to see Saints win, but also like Peyton Manning.
All the guests seem to be Colts fans.

I have to take exception to that. Buffalo only got hammered twice, the other 2 times they lost relatively good, close games...

Agree they were unlucky in SB XV to lose by one point with that missed Scott Norwood Field Goal at the end but after that they lost 37-24, 52-17(!) and finally 30 -13. Dont think you would disagree the three Denver losses were all thumpings either - I can remember the talk between 1985 and 1995 was that the NFC had somehow become naturally superior to the AFC and how something had to be done about it forgetting the dominance of the AFC Miami, Pittsburgh and Raiders sides for the previous 10-12 years. It all seems to even itself out.

I'm a Miami Fan but always enjoyed watching the 1980's Bills with Jim Kelly, Andre Reed and Thurman Thomas, although I could never win with them when I had them as my Team in a Statis-Pro League of the time - those bloody FAC Cards were fixed I tell you!

Anyway, WFH tomorrow so going to watch the game on the Beeb later on- hope we dont have a UK Commentary or I might mute the sound!

They were leading the Cowboys at the half in the 30-13 one though...

Hope the game isn't as one sided as the years when the AFC were rubbish and Buffalo & Denver got tatered year in year out!

As a Broncos fan those Superbowls were not nice to see but at least we mad up for it the following decade. I liken the Broncos to the Albion and Sussex CCC - always something going on, often flatter to deceive but with occasional bits of glory to renew hope.

For tonight, whilst the Colts should win I have a sneaking suspicion that the Saints might upset thing if Brees is on top form - they have been very impressive on offence this season,

Was happy to see John Elway get two Super Bowl victories with Denver (although it was Terrell Davis that won the first one single handed!) as he was far too good a QB not to win one - unfortunately Dan Marino holds that title....

In fact out of that historical 'Best ever Quaterback Draft of 1983' only Elway won a title, while Marino, Tony Eason (Patriots) and Jim Kelly amassed six defeats between them and Ken O'Brien (NY Jets) and Todd Blackledge (KC Chiefs) never made it to a Super Bowl. Sort of proving that Offenses win Games but Defenses win Titles!

Yes, I have watched this sport far too long......

Broncos fan, saw a pre season game between them and the 49ers in 2005 and hoping to go to Wembley for the repeat fixture. Backing the Saints for this one as Drew Brees is quality

Colts to narrowly win a high scoring game. Jaguars fan in the NFL but more interest in college football and the all conquering Florida Gators who would have been National Champions again this season but for some shocking calls in the SEC Championship game against Bama.

Off to a Super Bowl party in about 1 hour.

I was in southern Florida this week and was surprised at the advertising in and around Miami. I suspect the NFL keep strict control over who can use the word "SuperBowl" as there were a lot of references to "the Big Game" instead, which I imagine were from unlicensed companies.

Saw more New Orleans fans than Colts fans if that is any indication.

Mate, someone told me Billy Mays is dead. (Not you; the loud guy who does truly awful commercials).
Do you know if this is true?

Funnily enough, that phrase came up today when I was talking to the Mrs about tonight's game...Doesn't tonight's matchup completely disprove that saying??

Yep - died last June age 50 of a heart attack.
