Juniors game at Steyning was called off last night.

Mini has a KO at 11:30 away so fingers crossed game is on.

We got a phone call from the league last night saying if it rained overnight our game would be called off. We also got told they had tried to get us a ref but failed.


Phonecall at 8am this morning from the league...

Contrary to our expectations, not only is our game going ahead but we have a proper ref. Nice.

Our game got called off Friday lunch time, second week in a row we've lost out to the weather.

Second game off in a row too, but it was in Rye which is about as far East Sussex you can go so not all bad.

we went down 4-2 - personal highlight of the season for me though, as i combined ben roberts AND jens lehmann into one by giving away the most BLATANT penalty you are likely to see, one on one and GRABBING the blokes legs to take him down

not only did i not get sent off for this offence, the only reason i was booked was because i tried to ARGUE with the decision. the referee simply told me to "go and away and think about what you've done"

the result was that the penalty was SAVED - not that it really mattered as we were SHITHOUSE and deserved to lose

I also WON the pen this time - some big OAF treating me to a FOREARM SMASH across the back of the head when challenging for a corner.
