My post was meant to be tongue in cheek
I know.

I was addressing the point you were making about the bedwetters.

*sigh*

We could also do some Osman pre-deals for the likes of Harder in January. On that subject, I don’t think that Gomez been announced!

Your potential outs are interesting. There are windows still open in Brazil, Netherlands, Saudi, Poland, Belgium, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.

Hummels seem to have turned down most options now. I guess it’s us or retirement. He is clearly having a very good think about it. He happens to be a player that would improve almost every squad in the world so I understand us waiting on him.

Milner/Baleba/Ayari/Hinshelwood are available for today.

Wieffer 50/50
Moder /Gruda (unlikely)

Really not threadbare

I'm sorry to see Gilmour go, but I bet Yasin Ayari isn't.

Hinsh will be playing at LB.
Beleba played 90 minutes on Tuesday.

So it might be Milner/Ayari - be good to see Ayari get some PL game time.

As I posted above, we’ve just spent £65 million quid on two midfielders (both fit for Saturday ) who have much better stats for FB than Gilmour.

Why are some people wetting the bed over us selling Gilmour? - he wasn’t even the first choice for RDZ for much of last season - he wasn’t indispensable then, even less so now for a manager that wants to improve our xG by bringing in MFs that can score frickin’ goals.
Billy Gilmour played the fifth most minutes out of any of our players in the league, starting 24 out of the 31 games he was available (he was injured for a seven game run during which exactly 1 goal was scored by a Brighton player).

He also started seven out of eight games in Europa League, started the two first FA cup games (he was injured for the final one).

Why would someone listen to anything you say when you clearly have absolutely no idea what you're talking about?

Surely, Peupion needs to go out too. We have so many good attacking options, he'll get no minutes here this season.
Yes, I was expecting all of those to be sorted in the window - bit disappointed TBH. Lamptey, of course, may well stay as a squad player, but it would have been nice to see the youngsters getting some EFL time, permanent or otherwise.

So after all the goings today (as not many comings!) we are left with, out of 33 players who have appeared or been on the bench during the first three games this season, 24 (only Ferguson of these 24 hasn't yet played any minutes) with only as I can see it, Gruda, Kadioglu and March to join these players so our 25 man Premier League squad has pretty much picked itself and will include all of these 27 players as a fair few will count as home grown players. So are we really as well stocked as we think we are and ready to go again for Europe? I'm sadly not so sure especially as it won't take much for injuries to deciamte the list further and leave very little in the way of experienced back ups. Delighted to be proved wrong but have to say a little concerned.

Players who have been included in squads this season (*=loaned out, **=sold) [Gruda, Kadioglu and March to be added to the list]

ADINGRA S.
AYARI Y.
BALEBA C.
* BARCO V.
* COZIER-DUBERRY A.
DUNK L.
ENCISO J.
ESTUPINAN P.
FERGUSON E.
** GILMOUR B.
HINSHELWOOD J.
JULIO I.
LAMPTEY T.
MILNER J.
MINTEH Y.
MITOMA K.
* OFFIAH O.
* O'MAHONY M.
O'RILEY M.
PEDRO J.
PEUPION C.
* RUSHWORTH C.
RUTTER G.
SAMUELS I.
* SARMIENTO J.
STEELE J.
van HECKE JP.
VELTMAN J.
WEBSTER A.
** WEIR J.
WELBECK D.
WIEFFER M.
* YALCOUYE M.
I know it can’t all happen in one window, but I’m suprised Peupion, Samuels and to a lesser extent Lamptey and Igor are still here

‘Started’ being the operative word but how many of those matches was he substituted and why didn’t he start in every game he was available?

As for your last sentence - it says more about you than it says about me.

If I didn’t work and spent most of my time getting stoned - I too might spend my life eating pizzas in a dingy apartment and data mining the internet reading the scouting reports of numerous players on the transfer market or browsing sporting websites for new talent and making YT videos but there you go 🤷🏻‍♂️ we don’t all have time to do the research.

However, I’ve been watching Brighton for over 50 years because I grew up in Brighton so I know a few things about our ethos thanks very much and some of what the new manager is looking for in his new squad.

While you are busy flooding every Albion thread with your expertise be careful not to come across as an arrogant pr!ck or you might find the reputation you are trying to cultivate as guru on all things Brighton football might backfire on you.

We have overdosed on attackers but apart from Ferdi have added nothing to our slow defenders. Also gamble to release Gilmour when O' Riley is injured.

The price we have paid for some recruits seems rather high but I guess we all trust TB and co.

He was often subbed off in the final ten minutes or so, because he's a midfielder in football and might get tired every now and then.
He didn't start every game he was available because of player rotation in some sort of not too successful attempt to keep players fit.
