I'd be careful about what is said if honest. He has a form of dementia, the exact form is yet to be determined and yes, I've seen the doctors letter of confirmation. Those that drink, or at least used to, with Sully haven't helped the situation. I can and perhaps will go into further detail another time. For the time being I'm stepping back from day to day. There's some close to him who need to stop acting for themselves and need to think of Sully. It is hugely detrimental to his well being.

I will continue to administer the fund, all funds currently collected have been transferred to help Sully, and liaise with the PFA and the club representatives.

Reading between the lines I find this very sad and going the way that the good intentions of good people are being hi jacked and exploited. I have no doubt that PM is honest and is working in the best interests of Sully. It’s a shame that Sully’s “partner” won’t let the club get involved but I guess she has her reasons.

Probably best to step away.

I will continue to do things in Sully's best interests where I can. I'll still pop in to see him.

You've absolutely hit the nail on the head here fella. Piltdown Man, and to a lesser extent me, have committed a lot of time and effort to help Sully but increasingly have found the constant moving of goal posts, ever changing agendas and constant criticism of everything/everybody just too much to handle and have both sadly had to step away. What PM did with the setting up of the GoFundMe page, the Sullys Way Or No Way website, getting the club fully engaged, getting t-shirts printed etc was incredible, and as I said to him yesterday he can hold his head up high and look himself in the mirror.

To put the record straight, there was something laid on by the club for Sully tomorrow including a box, a montage of him on the big screens, a half time pitch appearance, fund raising in 1901/VIP areas and allowing the distribution of 2000 leaflets advertising the GoFundMe and Sullys Way Or No Way Campaigns, but this obviously wasn't deemed sufficient. The person thats' missing out tomorrow is Sully, and that deeply saddens me.

Excuse what could be perceived as a rant, but I'm extremely angry about what's happened and wanted to put the record straight on both PM and the clubs behalf.

What a pity. Good on you both for doing your best. Also to the club for trying to put something in place that would have raised money and also made so many aware of Sullys plight. Must have reasons for not accepting but strange and a great shame

Indeed strange. As for reasons, we’re all completely at a loss and I suspect so is Sully!

Are the club still going to show a montage on the big screen & wish him well ?
