If someone had said "You can beat Chelsea in the Cup, but only if you lose 7-0 to Forest in the League first", would you have taken it?

Is this a pre-cursor to the

"Would you take losing to Chelsea in the league if it meant beating Chelsea in the Cup" poll, or have I missed that one already?

I would suffer the 7-0 all day to see Dunk lift the FA cup

Someone said the Forest defeat could be costly.

At the moment we don’t know if yesterday’s result could be part of the biggest thing in 125 years (it probably won’t be, but I’m sure you see my point)

In answer to the question, personally I’m ok with how the last seven days has unfolded

7-0 is one of the most embarrassing results in our history. Almost nothing is worth that humiliation, surely?
It was a bit of a nightmare, but I doubt very much anyone other than us or Forest fans will remember it for long. We smashed Wolves 6-0 a couple of seasons ago and I don't have images from that game framed on my wall. Bournemouth got battered 9-0 by Liverpool: I doubt they even think about it now.

The only ones who might have lingering trauma are Southampton, who have twice conceded nine in a game in recent seasons. They must be quivering at the prospect every time the opposition get to, say, five.

Luckily for them, they have us in a couple of weeks, so they can rest easy.

Definitely trade, all day long. I can't see the goal difference (hopefully) making a difference this season.
2 nil, 5 nil, 7 nil, bottom line doesn't matter. It's a freak result and they happen all over, 0 points gained irrespective, move on

Had it been palace, that's a different question
Putting Chelsea back in line after their shenanigans is a sweet trade off

Have you got access to my NSC post calendar for the week ahead?

Whilst that's true, I imagine even fewer people will remember us beating Chelski in the cup. 7-0 isn't the biggest league defeat in recent times, but it's our biggest, and not worth it for a cup win over that scummy London club.
