Deep in the McGowern thread on the Pink'un:

"Something else that seemed odd; in the warm up Brighton had the sprinklers going until the last possible moment. It would be interesting to compare footware worn by the two teams"

Clutching at quite a few straws there me thinks lol

We have done that every game at the Amex. Under Gue we would stick it on at half time too.

Just seen that! The same poster said Murray should have been sent off! What game was he/she watching?! Obviously Not the one where their number 3 (Olsen?) should have gone!

Personally I thought open toed sandals were the perfect choice of footwear for McGowern given the conditions :)

If that was the case then why didn't they simply take off their boots and play in their webbed feet?

No team has the god given right to win any match in this league, you can't just turn up and expect to win. Big names and reputations count for nothing.

To be fair, they both acted like 5 year olds. What on earth did Murray shove his head towards their guy in the first place and then why the pathetic reaction to the slightest head movement? Yellow for both was very fair IMO and thought the ref was very, very good. Good advantages for both sides, not overreacting, letting the game go where possible, not falling for soft falls from both sides and not making himself centre of attention. Always been impressed by him and his brother as refs. Very pleased Stroud was just 4th official today.
