I know there’s been talk of signing a new defender but does anyone know if the club have set their sights on a back up striker? Murray is out and Fleetwood although quick has little to offer in the way of goal threat. From what I have seen, Forster has worked his socks off and is doing a great job but I think we’re in danger of burning him out.

Do you think it’s time we sent Fleetwood packing and swapped him for a more prolific goal scorer, perhaps on loan till the end of the season?

I sincerely hope we sign at least 2 players by Saturday, an LB and a striker would be top of the list.

Fleetwood played well vs Swindon, but he hasn't done much apart from that.

I reckon we will go for Kevin Kyle. He has had his contract cancelled by Coventry and MA rates him

I think that will be a great signing for us, We could do with a bit of muscle up front.

You could be on to something there, although I think Coventry is as far south as he's ever played...

Good shout. Have to say though, if he comes in Fleetwood should go back to Charlton.

Isnt he at Hartlepool til the end of the season ??

He was on loan there earlier this season but appears to be a free agent now. From what I remember he had a good time at Hartlepool so would be a good bet.

I think he would be great for us. MA has also spoken recently about having some muscle up front which he would provide. Adams does seem to be able to attract players he has worked with previously too. The only thing would be whether he would move south.

Sounds like he would be good back up. He is 6 ft 3 too, so should provide some much needed height (nothing against Virgo).

As if it's as easy as that, send Fleetwood back and go and get one of the many prolific strikers out there on the market on loan.

:bigwave:

Personally I'd like to see Carl Asaba at the club.

We could do with another striker but I'm not too bothered about it. I'm even willing to ignore the lack of a left-back for the rest of the season. I just want all our time, resources, and effort to be pushed towards totally replacing the midfield. Jason Jarrett is a quality start, but I want two or three more like him.

Totally with you there Badger....its where most games are won and lost and is the main reason why we are struggling this season.
Look back and the driving forces of Brian Horton, Paul Clark, Jimmy Case and more recently Chippy and Charlie co-incided with successful periods in our history.
