So the Olympic Games are drawing to a close, the nights are drawing in and Autumn is only a few weeks ago, which can only mean one thing.............STRICTLY IS BACK!!

Obviously under a massive cloud this year after the huge safeguarding issues that have been uncovered and safeguarding will be at the front and centre of this years Strictly experience but the show must and will go on.

First celebrities revealed and looks like a stellar line-up.

Toya Wilcox
Dr Punam Krishnan
The Go Compare! guy
JB Gill
Chris McCauseland

Nick Knight
Nick Knowles
Sajid Javid
Jackie Weaver
GK Barry
Shaun Williamson

I always intend to ignore but my wife loves it so I get drawn in over time but only as a distraction to being on here or at the game should we be lucky enough to have a 1500 kick off. Must confess to being impressed by the quality of dancing as the series goes on. The only reality tv programme we watch too.

I don’t get the hate

I predict Toyah will be SHIT, as will the annoying Go Compare guy be

It would spice things up if we could watch the contestants being kicked and spat on in training.
This week we reveal who punched Toyah and just how close the Go Compare bore was to getting stabbed to death in training.

The rumour doing the rounds hands in Mumsnet is they're going to get the Co Compare! guy to dance to his own TV advert.

:lolol:

That will be box office.

As he has a regular show on Radio Wales and is often photographed supporting activities in Wales I would be surprised

oh no, not this cobblers for the next x weeks. Luvies sucking up all over, ‘oh thats the greatest waltz ever’ until ‘that’s the greatest greatest waltz ever’ tosh, tosh, tosh.

20 years of this amazes me.

My other half loves it, good excuse to go out for a good walk.

Stellar line-up for the 20th anniversary edition. Sad to see the lack of LGBTQIA+ contestants meaning this will be the first time in 6 years there are no same sex couples. Lets just hope that the BBC have gone big on safeguarding now and going forward to save this much loved and cherished but now tarnished show.

Are they gonna show the regular rehearsal beatings the contestants get this year?

Might watch it if they do.

Off topic a bit but my money is on Anthony Joshua for Strictly in 2026. And his professional dancer will take him out in rehearsals with a left hook in the first! :)

Despite the controversy Strictly 2025 has got off to a flying start.

Anyone who witnessed Strictly history being made last weekend will attest to that with the very first Bollywood show dance which went down an absolute storm with no dry eye in the house.

Now there will be more history made with two new theme weeks, Icons and Vicars & Tarts.

Icons week will celebrate some of the most iconic music performance, from rock acts such as Wet, Wet, Wet and Status Quo to R n B superstars like Usher and Eagle Eye Cherry.
