Stretcher Bearers.

Wasn't that the best thing ? (Apart from the wee man's goals obviously !)

I thought he'd be better... or dead by the time they got to him !

And then one of the muppets faced the other way to all his mates, obviously wanting to take him off via the furthestmost touchline instead of the nearest !

Are goalies allowed to come out with their knee up?

I was always taught to but if you connect with someone they will be in a bad way!

That's why you attack a goalie from the side so he hasn't got a solid piece of bone coming straight into your chest!!

If an outfield player does it, it's a foul; if an outfield player uses the elbow it's a sending off (sometimes quite rightly, mind you) but if a keeper comes to punch the ball and connects with the player..........it's a bounce ball and the ref asks nicely if the keeper will give a throw- in to the opposition.
Go Figure !

As you are so knowledgable...

...Does a keeper have to have both feet on the line when a penalty is taken? Or just one.

I thought Roberts would be rolling about for ages the way that chap clattered into him, winded at the very least. But the big man didn't seem bothered by it at all. Terrific performance all round by Big Bad Ben, came out to clear through balls several times, won everything in the air, and practically knocked that fella out in the first half when he wellied the ball into his face.

PS Not that Knowledgeable......... I've a few scars from the odd 'collision' with goalies...... and guess who usually ended up worse off !!

Keepers don't always come of best. I managed to fracture my ankle in a three way collision with an attacker and one of my defenders. The cracking noise wasn't pleasant!!
