Still smiling after the following sentence appeared in another Argus article:-

'He swung his lower region around in circles to re-create a helicopter'

Argus is making out like we are all about to be washed out of our homes and struck by lightening before being stranded and cut off from civilisation.

Is it going to be this serious?

“Unplug everything and don’t use taps”. Is it 1983?

Looking at that map, disruption all over the Home Counties, even the South East of England as a whole, not merely Brighton or even Sussex.

Now where can l buy some sand bags?

This is a tactic employed by the Daily Express on a regular basis, any slight temporary extreme of weather is billed as a Satanical catastrophe, moves huge amounts of newsprint apparently.

Only bettered by some of the Daily Star headlines, who once splashed with " Double Decker Bus found on surface of The Moon " ….. quite obviously it was not true so about three days later splashed with " Double Decker Bus MISSING from surface of The Moon "

West is BEST
Any time advised for this impending armageddon. Have I got time to go to the pub for a pint

I should think so. Weather app seems to have adjusted for some light drizzle about 10 tomorrow morning.
I see blue skies over Shoreham Beach and not a drop of rain for hours.
Stay safe.

odd, the BBC weather says light showers and moderate breeze, then has weather warning for the mentioned lighting and flooding. well which is it then? have someone bodged and given warning for the wrong region (Scotland and Lincolnshire look wet on radar)

Wtf is going on these days? Every prolonged period of rain/drizzle suddenly seems to be a 'storm' and given a name. Any weather slightly out of norm is given some kind of warning - armageddon like the article the op shared, we're all going to melt in a heat wave or freeze to death if we dare step outside if it goes above 23° or drops below 5°... It's ridiculous. Who on earth believes all this constant weather warning shit!?!

Reminds me the Daily Express trying to scare the elderly to their deaths by reporting -80c temperatures every winter...

My back garden is enjoying 'Lull Veronica' right now.

And, yes, that is a euphemism.
