Storm 2013 - First tree has FALLEN

Blatchington Road, corner of Hova Villas. Shorn away at the trunk. It is DOWN. A car appeared to be battered underneath it. We're talking a big tree tumbling, the trunk just ripped apart. No pics, passed on a bus. Any local snappers oblige?

Which tree will be the biggest casualty? Predictions?

Driving around earlier there seemed to be a fair amount of debris scattered about. Mainly in the form of leaves and branches. I have parked my car away from any trees and fingers crossed for the next eighteen hours.

That was a SHRUB.

I'm chatting bout TREES. Big lads with history, poise and character. If a tree could be described as a lad, this one would have been. A very high profile casualty of what now must be referred to as a SUPERSTORM.
