To be fair, plenty of western folks wander off into The Great f***-All and get into strife.

But I see what you’re saying.

whatever the reasons you can see they are desperate people, homeless and without food. They even said they risk dying because they have no life. We should be helping these people, I doubt they are enjoying themselves
Absolutely yes , we should be helping everyone where ever they come from by providing them with a new life in the UK if they are in need

And isn't it wonderful that the UK voted albeit by a narrow margin to leave the EU in 2016 .

Just imagine us being part of of the EU now knowing just how refugees are being starved and left destitute on the streets in an odious country such as France .

Thank you Boris Johnson , Nigel Fararge and everyone of the 17,412,402 heroes that made Brexit possible . :thumbsup:

Vote Tory to stop the boats!

They've been promising to do it for 13 years but this time they really mean it.

you still seem to struggle with the notion of asylum seekers seeking asylum in the UK without passing through France, and beleiving that because France is the last country before reaching the UK that UK asylum seekers are France's problem

If it was the other way round and asylum seekers wanted to apply for asylum in France and had no intention of staying in the UK would we tell them no, they must stay here whether they want to or not?

where his my human right to travel by boat to Saudi Arabia and get ashore and be housed and fed and clothed by Saudi tax payers .....only to then go on the rampage .....your head is inserted dangerously close to your seminal vesicles me old china ....dreaming..!!
well it depended if war broke out in Australia and if Saudi Arabia had an asylum policy

Remember, you're a human who wants to have less human rights. You'd put a tick in that box right?

I reckon if a family wanted to escape a counrty due to persecution and they needed to send 1 family member to get to a safe country first then apply for the family to join them would they choose:

The 20-30 Male
The 6 year old daughter
The 70 year old grandmother

I'd guess the first one wouldn't you?

````````
so you would encourage each asylum seeker granted residency in the UK to apply for the rest of their family to be allowed to come and live in the UK also..?? thats just brilliant.
the ungrateful , war fleeing pricks
Almost as bad as those persecution fleeing pricks!
Grrr, don't you just hate em?
Surely you must wonder just a little how it has come to be that you have so much dislike for people you know nothing about. No idea of their story or what lead them to leave their home land.
But my god you feel it. Where does it come from? How do you feel it strongly enough to call people fleeing war 'pricks'.
It's quite a phrase mate.
Gosh.
You have to hand it to the tories. They have f***ed up our borders and our ability to deal with the 'swarm' and the criminal gangs so badly, that a significant number of voters are now certain that the only solution to this mess, is to vote tory.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Because.....because under Labour everything would be much worse.
When Douglas Adams wrote about a planet where humanoids elected lizards as parliamentarians, it was meant to be satire. In his book, the humanoids hated the lizards, but kept on voting for lizards in case the wrong lizards got elected.
I suppose it boils down to this. When what passes as your mind is made up, and all new facts are forced to fit into an immutable perspective, you're finished as a human.
People blaming labour for the landscape that has emerged after 13 years of tory misrule are finished.
I don't expect any better from the people I have on ignore, carlzeiss who appears to have had some sort of stroke, wokewanka who seems to think nobody has noticed who he really is, but @sydney.....be careful what confirmation bias is doing to your perspective. I don't get why you get so angry about what you perceive as rabid folly in the UK from your perch in Australia. And if you do think it is folly, why are your guns not aimed at the party whose successive governments have presided over this mess? Why muddy the clear waters?
The tories wanted to weaponize immigration fears. To give it some flesh they have manufactured the situation that has allowed criminal gangs to import people into a black economy. All of it foreseeable. If it wasn't deliberate and the armada of 'illegal' boats and the Albanian crime network is all an unfortunate mistake then the tories must go down as the most inept shower of goons to ever run the country.
But, please carry on attacking labour. I don't expect you lot who do so to have the honesty or the balls to admit you are part of the problem.
Record number of 'illegal' crossings today. The Legionnaire's barge and the horrible threat of Rwanda are working wonders, then.
My god, this government really are the worst. Possibly even worse than the Johnson wankfest.
This is a good observation, but how does it fit into a narrative. What is the narrative?
I am not sure, myself, to be fair.
What shouldn't be the narrative, however, is weaponizing asylum seeking for political purposes.
Here we have a weaponized abdication of responsibility in the name of saving tax payers' money on 'illegal' interlopers. f*** off foringer, is our policy. Ten pence is the budget to f*** them right off.
It is sick, pathetic and embarrassing.
If labour suggest doing anything, anything at all to strengthen our borders and deal with the boat people, they are attacked for being soft on immigration.
Rinse and repeat.
As @The Clamp has often said, the only place for this tory HMG shower is a ditch. After that perhaps we might have some adult politics.
Oh, and Carlzeiss, JCFG aka wokewanka and others I have on ignore can f*** OFF. They are simply reveling in the filth of it all. Disgusting.
my concern is mainly for the continued well being of the UK as a country , if immigration keeps going at its current rate surely the standard of living for most will be severely compromised , i made the mistake of watching the BBC news today ....ffs , how many schools closed down due to fears of imminent collapse ...?? thousands of kids to adopt on line learning and temporary accomodation........the country is crumbling and the idiot prime minister just smirks and chicanes his way through questioning and meanwhile the immigrants keep on coming ...on and on , how do you see this panning out seriously...?
Firstly you have totally failed to address the point I made in my post. Hardly surprising because you can't defend the indefensible.
Secondly it is no wonder you end up with the idea of immigrants being 'war fleeing pricks' if you are attributing all the ills of a country to them. I would suggest that years of bullshit austerity then Brexit has more to do with the standard of living that anything else. Next would be the war in Ukraine and possibly Covid. I would be interested to see your evidence showing that immigration has anything other than a net gain for the UK economy. The evidence I have read shows a new gain, for example https://www.ucl.ac.uk/economics/about-department/fiscal-effects-immigration-uk
Lastly you are somehow conflating the use of cheap concrete that has passed its use by day and is now unstable to the 'war fleeing pricks?' I mean seriously, your argument is all over the place.
Your last line is pure hyperbole, you can't really expect to be taken seriously this with stuff can you?
Immigrants.....standard of living compromised......schools collapsing?
Necessary workers, the absence of whom has some sectors such as the NHS grinding to a halt. Tories said key workers would be welcomed. Instead they have been sent home and prevented from returning.
Standard of living is boosted by having skilled key workers. The standard of living has been compromised by the piss poor tories f***ing everything up (in the name of taking back control).
Schools are collapsing because the minister in charge vetoed an expensive but measured plan to replace the degrading bubble concrete used in schools some years ago, only to find the PM is now having to hastily make amends. Which prat vetoed the planned replacement? f*** me, it was Rishi Sunak when he was in charge of the relevant department (Home secretary? I forget which high office he was debasing at the time).
Meanwhile the minister for dog whistling, Sue Ellen Braverman, is now attacking the police for being nice to poofs and darkies instead of assaulting them like in the good old days. She has set up an inquiry. Being nice to minorities is potentially 'politically motivated' apparently, but only an expensive inquiry will resolve this important matter. We jolly well must get to the bottom of it! It is important to weaponize imaginary fears, to save this great country of ours from, you know? This shower would weaponize its own shit if it thought it may garner a few extra gammon votes.
Stand by for even more of this before the general election. Project Fear is underaway and the only policy in town is to bleat that it will be worse under labour.
(I think the mad bat Braverman has seriously lost her mind going to war with the police, though. It makes Thick Lizzy seem measured).
But it does seem that the length of time it works is directly and inversely proportional to IQ, so eventually there has to come a point where those who still believe it will also be incapable of turning on a computer or logging onto a forum and spouting this shit all over the Internet :lolol:
are you f***ing serious , what the f*** has 60 year old concrete got to do with todays migrant crisis , the issue is the money being spent housing , feeding and clothing these people is seriously depleting money available to address the state of decaying hospitals and schools and you have a f***ing clown running the joint who has made billions out of the covid jab and as H has said vetoed moves to spend money on infrastructure , is a proven , corrupt prick and whose father in law is on the top wrung of the WEF .....Afghans are coming here and paying 30 odd k for the privilege , they are getting jobs and they are happy to be here , the immigrants going to the UK are on a different agenda in my opinion ....time will tell.
