He has a point, we wouldn't be best pleased if the situations were reversed, but he obviously doesn't know much about Brighton or he'd know we still have a good chance of losing anyway. Big crowd, expectation and on the back of a great run...

Interesting. Has this been confirmed? Any Stockport team news yet?

The kids will play on the beach whilst their dads play football: is that what he meant? Where is the evidence to support his claim that Stockport will field a significantly weakened side tomorrow?

Meopham, Kent.
Whereas Crewe's opponents will be about as full of desire and fight as we were away to Shrewsbury a few years back. That's the last day of the season for you, and why it's very dangerous getting to this stage of the season relying on anyone other than yourself.

Besides, will Millwall and Leeds put out their strongest sides this weekend with the play offs looming? No chance. Plus Leicester have the perfect opportunity to give some kids a game.

Although he has a point, he'd do well to remember that Crewe have been gash all season (except a purple patch a few months ago) and are now in a position where a mid table team with nothing to play for now have to win away from home in order for his team to have a chance of staying up (and even then, only if they win easily against the champions).

Fact is, Crewe are really already down because of their own shortcomings.

Stockport have not said anthing about fielding "the kids" tommorrow. He's just having a bit of an emotional wobbly, basing this on nothing at all

btw Stockport have been in difficulty for a while now and from what I have read everyone at the club is absolutly devasted about going in to administration. So I think they would have done all they could to avoid this happening

That interview in full:

"Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, into the eyes..Gannon, you have GOT to play a full strength side against Brighton, and beat them to keep Crewe up..you will respond to my childish dig about playing kids by playing your full strength squad and possibly by signing Steven Gerrard on loan for the game because YOU WANT CREWE TO STAY UP..one two three...you're back in the room."

I Can actually see his point...Imagine if it was us its tough on them but lets not count our chickens yet we might not even beat them..

His point seems to be that Crewe have conducted themselves honourably from a financial point of view but have failed on the pitch, wheras with Stockport it was the other way round.

Recently we couldn't fill the bench because the headmaster of one youth player refused permission for him to play that day.

:lolol:

I sympathise with County's plight, but come on, you have to admit that particular story has its amusing side.

On the same note, Crewe should remember they are where they are because- with the occasional significant exception  they have played like a drain all season.
