How long has Wilder had to build and shape HIS team?

A remarkable achievement to have instantly imported it from relative chaos of the Championship, to playing 19 clubs who’ve spent far more than them on players. Outclassing us at our place was an eye opener.

Nobody to replace him at the moment but perhaps he should chose to employ a defensive coach to organise the back four. I know that he is no longer alive but somebody in the likes of Don Howe or even an ex defender with great experience like Ashley Cole or Martin Keown.

I have got the feeling that at home the opposition have sussed us out and we now need to get far tougher, much better defensively and more streetwise. Potter needs to see to this. There have been disappointing performances in the last three home games and Bournemouth is now a very big game on Saturday. Potter needs to get it right for that one.

Like most other supporters, I really enjoy the attractive, open style of play introduced by Potter. However, as long ago as the Manchester City away match, a home supporter commented to me after the 4-0 defeat that while the Albion approach was refreshing and made for an enjoyable game, he thought we would struggle to stay up without a clinical finisher in the Aguero mould! Every game I am hopeful that the new adventurous approach will bring some deserved reward, but often end up disappointed that we just can't finish teams off, the Palace match being a classic example.... but there are others.

I prefer Potter's style and enjoy the games much more, we'll be fine with the addition of another decent striker in Jan.

I agree 100% with Icy Gull’s original post and other sentiments. Yes the results are a concern but we are generally far more entertaining to watch. We have been impressive for much of the two away games I’ve attended this season but lost both 2-1(AV and Spurs). Keep the faith!
Thought the ground was impressive.

It’s a tale of stupid mistakes Webster kicks the ball comes of Dale in the path of Kane, do we ever get a break like that do we f.uck.
On the other hand Potter needs some better players tactics are normally spot on.

I think with this year of progress for Potter, first year managing in the premier league and another transfer window to hopefully get it right, our tactics will start paying higher dividends...

I can hand on heart say despite the overall results so far GP is our most exciting manager since Poyet.

It is a results business undoubtedly, and the bed wetters will soon start speaking up. But anyone who has watched all our games this season (full 90 mins, not highlights on Match Of The Day) can surely see the immense revolution Graham is under-seeing here. The football we are playing is superb and unrecognisable from last season. And we finally have a manager who’s tactically flexible and not afraid to throw youngsters in.

I sincerely believe if we had the run of the green we’d be about 7 points better off.

I’m still keeping the faith. Are you?

Don't mind Potter but cant be doing with the delusion in posts like this, we are exactly where we deserve to be, two points above the drop zone, given the state of our defending. His time with us will hinge on whether he can improve this fairly fundamental part of football
