It's been coming all season. We have had a lot of issues with the stewards - the actual LUFC stewards seem ok but those who come on contracts from outside companies are the one the problems are mostly with. It's kicked off a few times before but yesterday is the first time it has ended in them being arrested. Going to be interesting for our home semi, seems a lot of people have scores they want to settle.

I don't know about the guy who was swinging punches but my brother went to retrieve my nephew from the side of the pitch (he had moved to the front of the stand to see the players doing their lap of honour) and the steward ASSumed he was making a dash for the players/pitch. Even if he was, you don't have two holding him on the ground and give him a good shoeing.

I don't know if that clip is being used as evidence, that is nothing to do with my brother and I don't know the people in it.

The albion does this as well. The outside security companies are usually the same ones who run the doors in pubs and clubs, so alot of stewards are meathead bouncers making a bit of extra cash. That's not to tar all bouncers with the same brush, but it does explain a few things

wherever the money is
Whatever the outcome of the enquiry, If you brother was innocent ( was not there so would not know ) then I hope he is ok. Kicking someone in the face when they are on the floor is the act of a coward or a heartless thug IMHO.

Thanks. He'll live to fight another day!

It was our Player of the Season/end of season bash and Bates et al were there and took all the complaints very seriously so hopefully they'll be more selective in their selection of failed police officers, oh I mean stewards in the future.
