Was in the queue tonight (not driving for a change) and because there was an empty space at the end of one line, cars were naturally cutting the corner. I said to my brother it was an accident waiting to happen and sure enough, a car just behind us cut through and was hit by a car that was already in lane. I feel very sorry for the lady driving the car that was hit as she had waited a long time to be let in and then when she saw her chance, nipped in and paid the consequence.

There should always be stewards at the end of every lane for this kind of eventuality.

We were lucky and only waited twenty minutes. The people leaving just four or five cars before us were straight out. It's a fine line.

The stewarding (or lack of) was one of the reasons I gave up my Bridge car park pass. The club seem oblivious to the fact that they are paying good money to a bunch of blokes who just stand around after matches not doing their job and moaning when you ask them to step in and help.
