He was very loud and led them well. I wouldnt change it, but I would say it's generally better having a midfielder as captain.

Agreed. And I would imagine Fozzy is pissed off enough about missing last night.

Exactly! Just cos you don't have an armband on doesn't mean you shouldn't play like that every week!

I said on here after Thompson's first game for us that he should be the captain for this season. Leadership qualities in abundance. Hasn't been too good this season up till now but was immense last night. The captain should, IMO, be either a midfielder or a centre back and not a striker as those positions see more of the game and how it's developing than a striker does.
Having said that you can't change captains in mid season unless the captain gets transferred in January.

I've never been one for liking a striker to be captain, ideally it should be a centre mid or centre back, I think Thomson fits the bill perfectly myself.
