Didnt say but Martin Allen said he has a year left on his contract and they will want a fee for him.

allen said it would have to be a good deal cos he has got a year left! definately the sort of player we need but wats the chances of us sorting out a deal thats attractive to brentford

Last time we made enquiries, but it would have gone to a tribunal which was binding, so we couldn't afford the risk

I thought that I read that Coppell offered £10k which Brentford considered derisory and as a consequence the tribunal situation came into being which we couldn't afford to take a chance on.

Obviously SC realised that the tribunal would put a more realistic figure on him than our offer.

He played well against us.
