According to some Pompey Fans yesterday the reason he didnt play in goal for them was because he is joining us on loan with option to buy this week. I wouldn't mind if that is true as he is one of the better keepers in The Championship and is still young..

Trevor Birch has revealed Pompey will receive a ‘significant fee’ after Stephen Henderson became the latest to depart Fratton Park.

The highly-regarded keeper was today sealing a loan move to West Ham until the end of the season.

He will then join the Upton Park club permanently in the summer.

As a result, Henderson was not named in the squad for today’s clash with Brighton.
