Interesting to look at the starting XI we had on the first day of the season and compare it to the likely side on Monday night, over 9 months later...

D Stockdale
Bruno
G Greer
L Dunk
G Bong
D Stephens A Crofts / R Towell
B Kayal
S March J Murphy
K Lua Lua
S Baldock
T Hemed J Wilson

Three changes. I think Jamie Murphy was injured at the beginning of the season so may well have been in that XI if fit.

We can do this, right?

I'd play Skalak up front with Murphy and Lua Lua on the wings. Skalak simply has to be on the pitch because his dead ball deliveries will give us a fighting chance of scoring every time we get a set piece.

I'd play Towell over Crofts as I think he will offer more of an attacking threat & that's what we need. I firmly believe we WILL do this.
Wilson is a bit of a conundrum, he undoubtedly has the talent but always seems to be half asleep. He really has to prove himself as thus far he has offered glimpses of ability but sometimes just doesn't look as if he gives a fying fluck.
I can't wait, this could be the greatest night EVER.

Could Skalek play the Stephens role with Lua Lua and Murphy on the wing? He can take all the deadballs then.
