This truly is the best thing I have ever seen!

The Story:

In 2009, Casey Pugh asked thousands of Internet users to remake "Star Wars: A New Hope" into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. Within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. The creativity that poured into the project was unimaginable.

SWU has been featured in documentaries, news features and conferences around the world for its unique appeal. In 2010 we won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media.

We can't thank everyone enough for making this such a special project.

It just gets better and better as you watch it! So clever. Brilliant how the music holds it all together and the continuity and smooth transitions are outstanding.

Enjoying the contrast between the live action and animated parts. Some people obviously worked hard on their bits others just got togehter with a couple of props and started to film. Works perfectly though.

as has been commented if SOPA/PIPA or similar are passed this sort of thing would not exist. Now THAT would be a crime.

Just wonder if this needed a different thread title as it should be getting even more love than it has already received! Might have to give it another watch tonight :)

They've been working on this since 2009! Gah! How has a Star Wars fan like me only heard of it by visiting NSC today? I may have had a crack at 15 seconds myself.
