Stansted Mountfitchet is the location and also the railway station.

There's a pub near the station called the Dog and Duck, although there is a clubhouse serving beer at the ground. Nearest station is Stansted Mountfitchet. This is a ten minute walk, walk down the road coming out of the station, turn left into Chapel Hill, then turn right at the end into Cambridge Road, and the ground is on the left.

Cheers for the info. Bit of a bugger getting back to south east London after the game by train, though, that's the problem for me.

Don't suppose anyone's travelling back to Brighton via the Blackwall Tunnel and A2 are they?! I'm only ten minutes off the A2 ;)

Could pick up and drop off, but I need other passengers to make it economical!

My 'regulars' are not up for this one. :(

Aye, you would do, bit of a bugger. I can get a train from work (Farringdon) to the game, no problem, only takes an hour. Would just need to cadge a lift back home. Can definitely chip in for petrol - let me know if you do get anyone else up for it.

OK got a bit of additional info from the locals.

As you get off the train there are 2 good pubs on the first junction. These are the Kings Arms and the Queens Head. Also on that junction is the China Garden Chinese takeaway that does a fair old fish and chips. Its uphill from there to the ground so leave a good 15 minutes walking.

If you prefer to get a bit closer before drinking, go up Chapel Hill to the top and turn left about 30 yards to the Cock. If you turn right towards the ground you will pass The Feathers which is the closest to the ground but its a bit rough apparently.

Seems there's plenty of choice:thumbsup:
