Foreign flair posters, all big words ("announce"? what's wrong with a decent, English word like "tell"?) and fancy typing skills - we should stick with good old-fashioned, tried-and-tested, honest ENGLISH posters who don't have any truck with shifty foreign frippery like the correct application of the apostrophe. It's the thin end of the wedge, next thing you know the buggers'll be coming down here, sipping fine wines and managing our football teams.

I lived in Urquhart Street in Oldmeldrum and prior to that at Savock near Ellon.

A girl I used to work with at the Buchan Observer (caled Pam???) used to go out with an Albion supporter - was that you?

It's not the Dark Ages up there, you know - steam TVs have been considered old-fashioned for YEARS in places as diverse and cosmopolitan as Clackmannanshire, the Butt of Lewis, Achnasheen, etc; no, gas is the way forward now, right enough.

I lived in the triangular shaped house (used to be an old drapers shop) just as you turn into Urquhart Road past the car park - moved away early in 2001.

Worked in Aberdeen and then Peterhead - it was while I was in the Loontoon that I met this girl called Pam from Mintlaw who was going out with an Albion fan from Sussex - she used to travel down to see him and would come back with tales of Withdean etc.

In those days I could only ever get to away games like Carlisle, Hartlepool, Darlington, York etc cos of the feckin distance!

Bloody small world!
