so who will be putting the Dark Streets of London on the juke box and getting maudlin about Nanny Shaugnessy and summer holidays in Tralee then, with a foam guinness hat on? Come on.

Newman boys are exempt as at least their mums and dads are the real mccoy.

Who is blanking it and spending the day writing to a council about a flag, the same council who spends countless thousands on pink street lights and men dancing on the back of trucks with the arses cut out of their trousers, in the vain hope that they might listen to reason?

Its a nice day I will be going to the pub, but will be Squeeze on the jukebox, Westons Cider and Roast Beef of Olde England. Reclaim the streets.

Thought not.

I was in St Patrick's House at Junior School. We used to have a right old bun fight at the end of school where people laid on a big spread. Was always one of my favourite days of the year.

Thinking back, those days were top. SpikeThornburgh (?) of the handle bar moustache was house master. As I recall we were always crap at the signing contests but great at rugby.

I am going to get inordinately drunk and wet myself at the game tonight. Out of consideration for others, I will try to ensure I am in the front row.

don't really get why people need an 'excuse' to get drunk, so i won't.....can't really afford it anyways......do enjoy my guiness so might get a few cans and drink in the house

if you're not irish, you shouldn't celebrate it- simple.............by all means go out and have a LAFF but don't pretend you're irish while doing it- makes you look like a ****
