I always celebrate St George's Day. It's my birthday.
It's my son in law's birthday too. Card already sorted. So glad you reminded me its St Georges Day on Sunday - its my nieces birthday. Must get a card in the post....
And William Shakespeare.I always celebrate St George's Day. It's my birthday.
Happy birthday George!I always celebrate St George's Day. It's my birthday.
God save the King is the British anthem, not England. I say we ditch Georgie boy and go all Edmund, move Edmund's day to summer and go get pissed in the sunshine.
Then home for buttered scones for teaYou went to school in high heels, suspenders and a bra?
This is the WayDragons and religion, it's all a load of bollocks.
I'll save my energy for May the 4th instead.
Only in the last 15 or so years I’ve seen them. It’s usually a certain “type” of person as well. It seems to have coincided with the cross replacing the Union Jack at football.Meh. I don't remember ever having any celebrations for St George's Day in my entire life.
Being English does come with baggage. I have never wanted to be defined by my nationality though, I prefer people think about me in terms of my passions and interests. My friends and I used to make a point of celebrating St George's Day.
As I've got older, I feel less and less proud of being English so don't bother.
What a beer loving, poncey food snob ?Being English does come with baggage. I have never wanted to be defined by my nationality though, I prefer people think about me in terms of my passions and interests.
I’m fully expecting PotG to start an RIP thread for Shaky, who apparently died on his birthday. And William Shakespeare.
Its a real shame I have not heard any news that Wembley will be putting on some pre-match celebrations for St. George's Day. I hope at the very least the national anthem is played before KO.
It has since been confirmed that sadly this was the case.I’m fully expecting PotG to start an RIP thread for Shaky, who apparently died on his birthday.
