Wot no fred?

England have traditional early collapse and then recover so nothing new.

156-5

Most of the commentary I've been listening to suggesting we're actually doing OK (only Root's dismissal being 'soft')- pitch turning from the start and very dry, difficult for batting and will get quickly worse. Atherton was talking about a score of 250 being decent (no guarantee we'll get anywhere near that of course). Fascinating so far - much more interesting than watching runs being accumulated on a flat road :D

212-7 (60 overs) at tea, Rashid 29* and Curran 12*

It is certainly a tricky wicket... might be a fair score if we can reach 220. 250 would be a decent total.

Too good for Leach... pitched middle, hit off.

And now Jimmy out for a golden... 225 all out... or maybe not??

Missing off... a life... for now. 225-9

Bosh... SIX MORE :clap2:

Dananjaya to Curran, SIX runs, opens the shoulders, hooned over deep extra cover for six more! His big shots are inversely proportional to his size and this soars over the boundary, with the fielder in the deep desperately backpedalling!

SIX MORE... despite 6 fielders on the fence... a short one smashed over midwicket.

Sam Curran 51* (92 balls, 5 sixes) :clap2:

England's highest 10th wicket stand in Sri Lanka... 45 from 36 balls... Jimmy on 6*
