Good songwriters indeed.
Take Ray Davies, Elvis Costello, Carter-USM and Squeeze and you have a great example of British songwriting genius.

Pulling Muscles (from the shell) is one of my all time fav tunes - amazingly it never made the top 40 singles chart. Love the opening line...'They do it in Camber Sands, they do it in Waikiki`. Close second fav is Up the Junction (always imagined it as meaning the Junction pub in Burgess Hill!)
Cool for Cats was the first single I ever bought aged 11, got it in Woolworths Haywards Heath.
Never saw them live, was just too young in their heyday. I love the Jools Holland keyboard solos that crop up in their tunes.
