PSV Eindhoven striker Mateja Kezman said that he does not want to join Tottenham due to the club's lack of ambition.

The Serbian scored 35 goals in PSV's Dutch title-winning team last season and has been linked with big-money transfers to both Spurs and Barcelona, but insists he will not be coming to White Hart Lane.

"There were a lot of stories about me going to Tottenham but in my opinion it's not a club with the ambitions I need and PSV is a bigger stage of me at the moment," Kezman told this website.

"I want to stop this speculation. Money is not the issue, I have plenty of ambition and want to win plenty of trophies and I don't think I can do that at Spurs".

But Kezman has not ruled out a move to England in the future.

"Football here is something special with a massive history and culture and I'm sure I'll be here one day," he added.

"I was a big Manchester United fan as a kid and Ruud van Nistelrooy's progress has been great to see.

"We are still great friends after our season together at PSV and what he's done at United has been fantastic after his injury problems. He's been a great warrior for the club"

"You never know, we might play together again one day. It was a pleasure playing with him at PSV and I think it was the same for him."
