I'm actually quite surprised, did nobody else expect this?

Lazio has fascism deeply rooted in it's history unfortunately. It was under the guidance of a fascist general (whose name i forget at the moment) when it refused to merge with the rest of the big Rome teams, back in the 1920's i believe. This is what forged the fiecre rivalry with Roma that they have today. You only have to look at their badge, the Eagle has always been deeply symbolic in fascism.

I fear that this happens alot with Lazio,but it only gets brought to our attention when they're on English T.V. I'd like to think UEFA will do something about it, but i get the feeling they don't take this as seriously as the FA does over here.

Before wondering whether UEFA will take any action, consider the fact that they fined the Russian FA (who, remember, are hosting the next-but-one World Cup) €50,000 for their fans making monkey chants at the Czech Republic's Theodore Gebreselassie, but fined Nicklas Bendtner €100,000 for showing his underpants with a sponsor message.

Racial abuse is less important to UEFA than wearing the wrong underpants.
