This was chucked into the work banter today "which is the highest football ground in England" ? After a bit of chat its more like "on which ground hosts Senior Football" so it,s league or non-Lge.

West Bromwich Albion is often used and (now having checked it at 500ft above sea level) but there is one well higher.

When I was growing up that was always portrayed as the answer to that question but West Brom fans claim that their ground is highest above sea level

Slightly conflicting figures, but the Hawthorns number one and Boundary Park/Port Vale in second/third spot:-

List one - Hawthorns 552 feet, Boundary Park 526 feet, Vale Park 520 feet

List two - Hawthorns 551 feet, Vale Park 525 feet, Boundary Park 509 feet
