It's the Argentine elections on Sunday. As a result there is no footie over the weekend, and all pubs, restaurants and even clubs have to close at midnight on Saturday.

Now how's that for politics interfering with every day life?!

I landed in Mexico a few years ago on election day. I think they have there elections every 4(or 8?) years, so to arrive not being able to get served alcohol was unlucky to say the least, especially as we couldnt vote

though we did manage to get someone to serve us some dos equis I think it was called, albeit in tea cups
