Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Thinking of going but spent so much dosh in the last few weeks, will probably have to settle for the in-laws instead, unless I win any money at the bookies over the weekend !!
Saw them in London a while ago and they rocked !

New album is excellent, as good as the others anyway. I've seen them about 6 or 7 times now and every time they are fantastic. Best time was at the royal albert hall, one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

I saw them in Liverpool a year or two back - very much bare bones (as bare bones as they can be anyway!) as they had no choir or orchestra.

They kicked arse! The missus came away totally bemused by it all, I don't think a single song lasted under ten minutes.

My missus doesn't get them at all either, which is why I am not taking her with me.

Tickets purchased long ago for the Camden Palace event next wednesday!

Tinx, i just bought the live album from the Albert hall in 1997.Good but nowhere near as good as they were at Brixton Academy last year.

They are gods, and have been since they were Spacemen 3 in the late 80s.3 decades of music, itputs them near the summit.

I didn't see them last year, but their recent stuff has been fabulous so I imagine it was pretty good. Can't wait to see them lpay their new stuff.

They have got to be one of the most under rated bands of their time. f***ing brilliant.

can we have that again in English? Then you can go and wash your mouth out with soap.

After that you really need to re-evaluate your music tastes.;)

yes they were fatty(you've just pointed that out, even if only Jason). There were others who went off to become The Darkside, which was also quality.

No - Spacemen 3 split. The two members went their own ways, one of them (Jason) forming Spiritualized, sometimes utilizing some of Spacemen 3's collaborators/recording colleagues/touring members.

Many of Spacemen's songs were in the style we now recognize as Spiritualized, because Jason was one of the main songwriters. But then ol' Sonic Boom was the writer of Revolution, and other fine tunes, and was an integral (arguably the most influential) part of the set up.

Saying Spiritualized used to be Spacemen 3 is like saying Wings used to be the Beatles.

your just being picky now.Obviously a band wouldn't change their name unless there had been some change in personnel.

But anyway, i hold them very dear to my heart and the fact they've been around as long as i've been listening to music means they are deservedly the greatest thing since sliced bread.
And getting better
