Any arachnid experts have any idea what on Earth of all that’s holy this spider is? Scoured all over the Internet for U.K. spiders and can’t find any spiders that look like this fine lady….

Looks like a mouse spider to me

If it's about the size of two-pence piece (including the legs) then I think it's this. So named cos they have soft brown fur.

Having never seen one before, we moved house at the beginning of last year and have absolutely loads of them. Mostly in the garden, but occasionally they venture into the house. I quite like them

That picture is terrifying. The spider is awful enough but to me the web looks like one of the xenomorphs from Alien, about to eat the spider.
