The strikers actually know how to put the ball in the net.

The problem you have at this level is carving out openings and chances for them because the standard of player you come up against at this lever is so much higher. We are never going to have loads of the ball in matches in advanced areas so the ability to break quickly before defenders get into their defensive shape is paramount.

So although the strikers might be slightly pedestrian, if you get the service to them then they will get goals. Just look at players like Jonathan Walters over the years. He is hardly Roy of the Rovers but he has got a fair few goals.

In Football Manager would it be possible to bring a team from the brink of oblivion, go up through the divisions, build a strong fanbase, build a world class training ground and ground, for that matter, then finally get in to the Premier League and then demand that the locally born Chairman (who has spunked £200m of his own cash) should move on, for the good of the club? What I can tell you about football manager is that most loans will have contractual obligations on a players development RE game time and position played in. Doesn't tell us anything about Izzy Browns situation, but it may well be that Chelsea has similar items in their contract with us and his position on the pitch will be, for the majority of the time, what they want it to be.
