Dick Knight doesn't need to be a special guest because he's president of the club. He'll be there anyway.

Des and Norman were probably the first names on the 1901 club list so they'll be there anyway.

Personally I'd like to see a Legends v Legends game. Anyone who retired when we were playing at withdean Vs old players from the goldstone days. Mabye something like that will happen at the friendlies. Top of the list though are Reinelt and Storer

I DOUBT very MUCH that the potless pillock Dick Tight will have the FRONT to show up at Falmer at ALL, thanks to HIM we nearly lost the GROUND and if he had BEEN still chairman we would be PLAYING at Withdean.
In FACT it's thanks to ME and my ARS that we EXPOSED the penniless OLD tosspot for WHAT he was so in REALITY I should be there ALONGSIDE Tony Bloom as the STADIUM is opened.

Under your skin.
The first game SHOULD be... Withdean XI v Goldstone/Gillingham XI.

If we play someone like Doncaster we have to give them tickets. I want the first game at Falmer to be full of Brighton fans. I want a Brighton Legend to be the first person to score at Falmer.

Liz Costa should be a special guest. FACT

She can sit in row B, next to the King (Peter Ward) and applaud as Tony Bloom officially opens the stadium

Although he will be there anyway, Paul Samrah, should IMO, be lauded by the club, and us, the fans.
When we needed a fans 'voice' in the media, Paul was
was always eloquent and precise.
He should not be under-estimated. It was Paul who first uncovered the filth.but as TLO mentions we the fans, then carried on the fight, during 'The Troubles'

He did nothing but his job amd nearly mucked that up.

He was inept, and then attempted to bask in the glory of Falmer.

And he accepted a peerage after declaring he woud never accept one.

Oh and he is a prick

Prescott really wanted Falmer to go-ahead ... hardly basking in glory to give the thumbs up to a simple League 1 stadium ... he had far far bigger political fish to fry. But he is a football fan (born and brought up near here and I know a couple of his close relations) and saw the argument for Falmer and with the support of his civil servants went for it!
We have Falmer BECAUSE of Prescott ... all the Fans for Falmer days, Live and Kicking campaigns, Tom Hark singles, sit downs, stand ups, Valentines cards etc etc would have meant for nothing if he had said 'no'
Thank you Mr Prescott from an Albion supporter of 43 years plus ... you helped save our club.
Hope he is invited.

I think Ernie should be allowed to ride his trike around the pitch perimeter (where the dog track might eventually go) with his hair and Albion flags flowing behind him. This would generate a kind of massive 'Ernest Wave' in the stands.Perhaps Mark Mchgee would agree to be pace maker.
