You can see why Spain have been unbeaten in 29 games - winning 27 of them. They pressurised us right up the pitch and we didn't have the touch or movement to play any kind of football in the final 3rd... it was an achievement making it near their penalty area. Spain are where England want to be, but to lose away to Spain isn't a disgrace.

I just want to see certain players given more of a chance - Ashley Young for example. And I cannot see why Michael Owen, who has an excellent record at international level, isn't even in the squad. That baffles me

Owen was not playing regularly - he got back playing and is now injured.
