I saw it, I think, it rose from the SW at the correct time but then seemed to disappear from view before it got overhead even though it was a clear sky.

Double cool as I'm reading Buzz Aldrin's autobiography at the mo.

The second time was definitely muich briefer, it wasn't quite orbitting straight across our line of view like the first viewing, which is why it disappeared after not very long.

Tomorrow night it passes right across Aquila around SSE at 20.56 for 3 minutes. THAT should be good.

FANTASTIC view of it tonight. In full view for a good couple of minutes, streaking across the night sky.

Bloody marvellous.

So let me get this straight. If I look to the south later is it going in a South East to South West or South West to South East direction ?

Great, really great.

However, i saw 2. The first was quicker, but not as bright.

Then, half a minute later, another one. VERY bright, but not moving as fast. What were the two objects?

Also, is it happening again in the coming days, or again tonight?

:)

Looking at the chart it's trajectory was well over France tonight. Tomorrow it looks like its going to go almost overhead. That's assuming the chart is correct !!

I also saw a slower moving object a few seconds later, but flying in a different direction- I think it might have been an aeroplane...

As I read the chart it will be high and closer at 9.01.

Shuttle first, then the International Space Station (ISS). The Shuttle was obviously dimmer as it is smaller than ISS and has no reflective surfaces.
