I think it might be on tele if there are no other reasons, the televised games for the Championship have been released. Sky will make it out to be some sort of South coast derby.

Looking on Southend's website, they've actually moved three games from Saturday to Friday, under the headline "Friday Night Football Returns", ours, Hartlepool and Leyton Orient.

Maybe it's just something they do.

It is August bank holiday weekend , so the game may have been switched to Friday on police advice. Is it something to do with the police budgets , because they have to pay out more in overtime/additional lieu days when they have a bank holiday to roster in ?
