I quite like Southampton, so long as we're above them.

They'll be a great addition to the Championship as it becomes less Northern.

When was the last time Brighton were in a higher division to Southampton over history?
Even when Brighton were in the top flight 1979/1983 Southampton were higher in the table.
The top south coast team is here now especially with Portsmouths desmise.

Never really been bothered by Southampton, they're just another team, dont really care either way about their relegation.

I wonder where Ward-Prowse goes...
Exactly, Southampton just aren't on the radar, in the same way I don't share the vitriol aimed at Reading. Should GraPotty end up at Southampton I would be a bit miffed though, especially if he does a job.

Just watching the scenes on Sky, got me thinking, have we ever gone down in this fashion, almost without a whimper?

From memory only 86/87 or 91/92 would come close, but there were serious financial issues going on behind the scenes which we knew nothing of, and in 95/96 anarchy had broken out, and there were far bigger issues than football for us all to see.

Nathan Jones’s appointment effectively Saints EPL resignation letter?

Maybe Ward-Prowse would fancy a move along the coast?

Was he ever at St Mary’s with Lallana ?

1983 seemed to be going down without much fight despite the FA Cup heroics.

Nathan didn’t do any worse than their other managers this season.
