30K is the Saints allocation. The other 25K between the teams in corporate etc ( around that figure).

We would take the full allocation.

Saints fan in peace! Enjoy reading your board as there is some really good stuff on here and have a soft spot for the seagulls after my Uni housemate took me to lots of BHA games, which I really enjoyed. Great bunch of fans and a really good atmosphere on the away games especially.

Just a few things. Firstly on the above. Not sure where you got those figures but 44k is our allocation, plenty of others will be in the corporate areas and Carlisle section as we ran out of tickets weeks ago. See here: BBC Sport - Football - Southampton supporters demand more JPT final tickets

Secondly, I think it's a misconception to say most fans are pinning their hopes on this making it a successful season and getting over excited about the prospect of winning the tournament. The main thing is, after a few really crap years and staring into the abyss just 9-10 months ago, not sure if there would even be a club left to support, I think most fans are just looking at this as a nice occasion to get up there, show our support and show the new owner that he has made a good choice in investing in us. Plus, although we had a Cup Final at Cardiff, it's our first Wembley showing since 93, and it's great day out at the end of it all.

Ah right -just guesswork really. I know that for the FA Cup final the teams get something like 33,000 each so I assumed it would be the same. Thinking about it though, it's not quite the same event so not as many tickets would be held back! Fair play for taking so many. Glory hunters :jester:

Not too bothered who wins, but I hope it go's to extra time so your players are worn out for Thusday

I think we would as we're success starved and appreciate a day out like that, mainly due to not having delusions of grandeur about who we are.

My point was that most Stains fans seem to be creaming themselves over a competition that, by their own logic, is beneath them and they shouldn't even be in.

Admit it you're going arent you?

25,000 to each club, 17,000 to Club Wembley members and 23,000 to all the geriatric old fuckers who run the local football associations.

 It's just not right.

It's f***ing ridiculous.

In addition to that TRAVESTY, the tickets the clubs dole out to their sponsors, players and general hangers-on, comes out of their allocation.

Wrong

:wrong: :wozza:.

It should be 35k to each team at least. No Tottenham members will get a ticket for a final (same probably goes for Villa/Chelsea), but you can bet your life all the players family will be there.

Mate, I totally agree with you.

It is INSANE that a season ticket holder could miss out on seeing his club in the FA Cup Final, when Bob Ratchett a Class 3 referee from Northumberland gets one because he won a raffle in his local Referee's Association.

I would have thought that 10,000 would be more than enough for The FA to give out to their chums, with 40,000 to each club.

And that sums up most of the Saints fans I know.

Still in denial that they are no longer in The Premier League
Still crowing about the fact that they are a Premier League Club in waiting, with a 'massive' loyal fan base - apart from the 15,000 who deserted them when they got relegated of course.

Southampton f.c. are like the city itself - nondescript. Probably the most uninteresting place of its size in Britain, and a similarly dull football club - spent around 30 years in the top flight and caused hardly a ripple in all that time, on and off the pitch. Even their ground is a soulless identikit bowl.

If they went out of existence it would be months before the rest of football even noticed they were gone. As for 44,000 to Wembley for a one-off, so what, I remember even Bournemouth taking 30,000 or so day-trippers up there a few years back. How long did most of them stick around?

I dunno, 21,000 cumbrians doing a 600 mile round trip for a 1.30pm KO is quite impressive I think...

We've done Leeds over 2 legs & Naaaarwich in FA Cup...1-1 with a win on pens for us Hopefully :)

Nothing against them and good luck to them. Anyone that hates Pompey is ok by me.

45k is impressive and I hope they do the south proud

I hope they get well and truly poked, really don't want a whole week of crowing on South Today.

It is a tin pot trophy. I hope we can get to Wembley in something with a bit more pzazz to it, a play off final must be our best hope in the near future. I can't get even vaguely envious of a team getting to Wembley to play in the JPT. Micky Mouse whichever way you dress it up.
