If they could erect some "cheap as chips" roof over the south stand that required pillars in the front aswell as the back, thus hindering your view. Would you go for it?

ps this is a hyperthetical question.

hmmmm - I don't mind the rain - and thus would prefer a better view - however, the atmosphere would be greatly increased!! hmmmm I think roof!!

The roof over the North Stand is useless unless you're at least three rows back so I reckon they should sort that out before they even consider the CHEAPER south stand :D

You are not allowed to put a roof over a temporary stand. We cannot afford to put in 4,500 permanent seats and a roof over the top of them. Different funding sources available at Falmer.

I was wondering how long it would take

*Takes the bait alarm rings*

Please see the ps I added.

I'm in the fourth row in the north stand and sometimes I get a bit splashed when it pours down. :nono:

Not sure what the UK Health & Safety Act does here regarding roof's over temporary stands but the West Indies v England match going on right now in St. Johns, Antigua has a temp' stand with a roof!

Doesn't Bristol Rovers have a roof over a temporary stand behind the goal or is that lump of mechano classed as permanent? When the Withdean plans we're first thrown into the public arena during the late nineties, the North stand roof was meant to only be temporary. Looks pretty permanent to me!

The old lego stand at the Goldstone was temporary but had a roof. When it's been mentioned before DK's objections are only because of cost and restricting some peoples' views.

Forget the roof - bring back Rocket Man!
