Does Denns Waterman help? Miram Margoyles? Jule T Wallace? 1980's TV seres.
Remember watching it I think.......bit bizarre. JTW obsessed with PH and basically transforms into her (seem to remember she even had a 'leg shortening' operation ?)

Is anyone else not getting this on bbc4?
BBC4 is showing some drama set in Africa? Unless the downs has had a massive cultural and climate change. Then when does this programme actually begin?
I'm still shocked by Harry Wilson's tackle using the word defenestration before dinner. A great word that I have never come across before and can't wait to use in the pub.
Enjoyed this and loved that they picked out the second best view from the South Downs (Birling Gap), but where was the Amex from Ditchling Beacon?
He momentarily lost me when he seemed to suggest that the Weald was the Thames Valley ....
Much as I love the Amex, it is a bit incongruous surrounded by Downland. Imagine he hates it being there.Enjoyed this and loved that they picked out the second best view from the South Downs (Birling Gap), but where was the Amex from Ditchling Beacon?

What like Falmer Parish Council.
Their only concern about the hotel was the hope that it wouldn't spoil their view of the stadium.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show however agree that at times it was not clear for a while exactly where he was particularly when he mentioned the Weald.
Plenty more were they came from!!Just watched this on iPlayer.
Fantastic programme, beautifully showcasing plenty I already knew about the downs, but plenty I didn't too. I feel a bit restless if I haven't had a wander up at Firle Beacon or around the Cuckmere Haven of a weekend, but this has inspired me to head further west too. Kingley Vale looks particularly good - thanks for the photos Stat Brother, I may well venture there this weekend (though expect it to be busy!)
yeah me too
when he saw belle tout, probably fancied a bit of Patrica Hodge
The Vicar did my head in. I had to remind myself that it wasn't Crocodile Dundee who presented the programme.
Why did he walk around with a giant stick?
