TERRY Jacks. An awful version of a great Jacques Brel song.

But it was one of my earliest songs I remember. That, and My Sweet Lord, and Son of my Father. The make-up worn by the Sweet on Top of the Pops used to terrify me, as did when the camera tilted to make the floor slant up or down, or even go upside-down.

Ballroom Blitz was perhaps Sweet's greatest moment IMO but Son of my father was Chicory Tip wasn't it?

Used to love Silver Machine, 20th Century Boy, Silly Love in my school years.
